Strip Poker Rules

Strip Poker can be played based on any types of poker, with the same number of players, dealing and betting rules, etc. There are a several ways in which the rules can be developed into strip poker and here are some of them. One is when he player with the worst hand must remove a piece of his clothing. Another is when the player who loses the most money in that round must remove part of his dressing . Also the player with the best hand may remove the clothes from the lost player; or may choose which player must lose an article; or all players except the winner of the hand lose an article. Sometimes the players are allowed to buy back their clothing when they have won more chips. In that case the game can result in a zero-sum, in which there is no net loss of clothing.

Types of Strip Poker

Fast Strip Poker is the fastest form of strip poker. In this type of the game every hand goes to a showdown and all players except for the winner must remove an article of their clothing. Medium Strip Poker is form of strip poker where only the player with the worst hand is required to remove an article of clothing. This game may go for some time depending on the number of the players. Slow Strip Poker is another variant of strip poker. It can be played with 1 or 2 decks and if you want a small number of chips can be given to each player. In that case an article of clothing can be removed whenever a player runs out of chips.

Strip Poker History

Poker as we know originates from New Orleans around the 1830s. Most likely strip poker started at about the same time as regular poker. Poker became very popular in USA when Civil War especially stud poker and draw poker. At first strip poker did not start as a sexual game. There are situations in which a man loose all his money in poker and can use parts of his clothes to sweet the pot. Even though nowadays these games are not considered as strip poker contains the basic elements of strip poker. After that it was only matter of time someone to came up with the idea and develop the rules of the strip poker as we know them today.
