Poker Chips

The Poker Chip play term can be broken into two areas. First, comes manual manipulation of Poker Chips wherever players gather to play Poker. This Poker Chip play includes the poker players who bounce a set of five Poker Chips off his hand, while pushing stacks of Poker Chips to the center to raise you all-in. Poker Chip play of that sort can be very intimidating. While you need hours of practice playing in Poker, games to master when to push all your Poker Chips to the center, you can master the art of manual Poker Chip play a bit easier.

As opposed to poker chip juggling, Poker Chip play also includes using your Poker Tournament Chips as a weapon, hopefully a bludgeon, to press your advantage should you become tournament Chip leader. A good example of this sort of Poker Chip bludgeoning came at the final table of this year's WSOP. By playing well, Greg Raymer, who played Online Poker to win his WSOP Seat, was able to amass mounds of Poker Chips by the final table. Greg was a skillful player who understood that his playing his Chips outweighed his card hand values by that point. He very effectively use his massive stacks of Poker Chips to eliminate opponents until he won the final World Series of Poker jackpot, $5,000,000. At that point, he was happy to exchange his Poker Chips for a cashiers check.

Most poker chips are made of composite material and are more popular for home games. Composite can also be referred to as ABS or plastic. Composite Poker Chips are made in a variety of weights ranging from 4 grams, 5 grams, 7.5 grams, 9 grams to 11.5 grams. The most popular weight for ABS composite Poker Chips are the 11.5-gram chips. Composite Poker Chips are made with a plastic body. However, the Poker Chips does not have the feel of a plastic exterior surface. The plastic is compressed to create a rock solid exterior surface. Almost all plastic Poker Chips are made with a metal insert to adjust the weight accordingly.
