Texas Holdem is the most exciting form of Poker, mainly because of Online Poker and televised poker tournaments. Omaha was a more popular game in the eighties and nineties before the expansion of Texas Holdem. Today Omaha is still played a lot in both Europe and the US. Seven Card Stud is popular in Europe and on the east coast in USA.

The object of Seven Card Stud is to form the strongest possible hand using the seven cards you are dealt. There are no community cards in this game but four of the cards you get are open for everyone to see. Seven Card Stud differs from Texas Holdem in some other ways. There are five betting rounds instead of four and there are no fixed positions at the table. The betting order in Seven Card Stud is determined by the value of the players face up cards.

The object of Omaha is to form the strongest possible poker hand by combining your four pocket cards with the five community cards placed face up on the table. You have to use two of your own cards and three of the community cards to form your hand. There are four betting rounds in which the players make there moves.

Texas Holdem, known as the Cadillac of poker, is by far the most popular online poker game. Texas Holdem is played both with fixed and no limit as well as ring games and tournaments. Texas Holdem is played with two blinds. The first two players after the dealer pay the blinds. The first player and the big blind post the small blind by the second. In heads-up games, the player seated after the dealer pays the big blind. The first two betting rounds are played with the lower limit while the last two rounds of betting are played with the higher limit.
